    What we do

    Kerb appeal that lasts

Outside surfaces take rain, frost and full sun, so exterior painting stands or falls on preparation. Loose and flaking paint is scraped and sanded back, bare timber is primed, gaps are filled, and the right exterior system goes on: microporous paints for timber that needs to breathe and masonry paint for brick and render.

Smaller exterior jobs are a speciality: a front door respray, a picket fence and gates, window frames and sills, fascias and soffits, or a garden room that needs smartening up before you sell.

    FAQs

    Common questions

When is the best time of year for exterior painting?

Late spring to early autumn is ideal: dry weather and temperatures comfortably above 8°C so the paint cures properly. Small jobs like doors can often be fitted in year-round on a dry day.

How long does exterior paint last?

On well-prepared timber you can expect roughly five to eight years before it needs another coat, longer on masonry. South-facing and exposed surfaces wear faster.

Can you paint a composite or uPVC front door?

Many can be painted with the right primer and paint system. James will tell you honestly whether yours is a good candidate when he sees it.
