What we do
A new-look kitchen without the new-kitchen bill
If the cabinets are sound, painting (sometimes called a kitchen respray) is the quickest way to transform the room. Doors and frames are degreased, sanded with dust extraction and primed with a bonding primer that grips wood, MDF, many laminates and previously painted surfaces, then finished in a hard-wearing cabinet paint.
Handles can be swapped at the same time, and James can finish the job by sanding and oiling wooden worktops or painting the walls and ceiling so the whole kitchen comes together.

FAQs
Common questions
Can laminate kitchen doors be painted?
Many can, using a specialist bonding primer. Vinyl-wrapped doors that are already peeling or bubbling aren’t good candidates; James will tell you honestly if yours aren’t.
How long does kitchen painting take?
An average kitchen usually takes three to five days, depending on the number of doors and drawers and how many coats are needed. You can usually keep using the kitchen in the meantime.
How hard-wearing is painted kitchen furniture?
With proper prep, a bonding primer and a dedicated cabinet paint, the finish is tough and wipeable. Give it a couple of weeks to fully harden before scrubbing.
