Panelling has become the go-to upgrade for hallways, stairs, bedrooms and living rooms, but it only looks high-end when the finishing is right. Every nail hole is filled, every joint sanded and caulked and MDF edges sealed before primer and two finish coats go on.
Fresh Coat has painted panelling in sage, olive, deep plum, blue-grey and terracotta across Essex & Suffolk, as well as classic warm whites. Existing panelling can be repainted in a new colour without stripping it back.

Do you fit the panelling too?
Painting new and existing panelling is the core of the job. If you also need it supplying and fitting, mention it in your quote request and James will let you know what he can do.
What’s the best paint for panelling?
A durable eggshell or satinwood, or a tough wipeable matt, depending on the look you want. Painting walls and panelling the same colour gives a modern, tailored finish.
Can you paint over existing panelling?
Yes. It’s cleaned, keyed and primed as needed, any gaps re-caulked, then painted in your new colour.
