What we do
Interior decorating that lasts
Whether it’s one tired bedroom or a whole house after a renovation, interior painting comes down to preparation. James fills cracks and dents, sands with dust extraction, caulks the gaps between walls and woodwork and spot-primes repairs before any colour goes on. That’s what gives you clean lines and a finish that won’t flash, crack or peel a few months later.
You choose the colours; James can help with the rest. That means the right finish for each surface (matt or eggshell for walls, satinwood or gloss for woodwork) and the right primer for new plaster, water stains or bare timber.

FAQs
Common questions
How long does it take to paint a room?
A typical double bedroom (walls, ceiling and woodwork) usually takes two to three days including prep and drying time between coats. Big rooms, high ceilings or a lot of repairs take longer. Your written quote will say how many days to expect.
Can you paint new plaster?
Yes. New plaster needs to dry out fully first, then it’s sealed with a diluted mist coat before the finish coats so the paint bonds and doesn’t peel.
Do I need to empty the room first?
No. It helps if you move small items and breakables, but James will move and cover furniture and protect the floor before starting.
Can I stay at home while you work?
Yes, most customers do. Work is planned room by room so you can keep using the rest of the house, and everything is tidied at the end of each day.
